The Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) is a challenging course designed for those who are called by God to serve Him as teachers. This course prepares Christian teachers and chaplains to work in Christian, independent and government secondary schools. It is a one year fulltime program that integrates high quality learning in core and elective classes with a total of 60 days of practical field experience in schools.
A number of Commonwealth Supported Places are currently available for the Graduate Diploma in Education. (Applicants must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place.) This will reduce the cost considerably for eligible students.
To enrol in this program applicants must select two Teaching Field Options in their specialist area. The Victorian Institute of Teaching Specialist Area Guidelines are available here
For further information, please download the Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) brochure.
Please note: All students must have evidence of their application for the Working with Children Check before they can undertake practicum. Information about the Working with Children Check can be found at the Department of Justice - Working with Children Check - About the Check web site.
